This primary bath renovation started with a structural puzzle. The post-and-beam home sat on two levels, and the ask was to fit a full primary bath (soaking tub, walk-in shower, toilet, and double vanity) into a space that didn’t naturally lend itself to all four. The solution was a wet room, which allowed the tub and shower to share the same tiled envelope: matte oak plank tile running floor to ceiling, with hexagonal mosaic accents lining three recessed niches. Hickory cabinetry in a doeskin stain anchors both the built-in shelf nook and the double vanity, carrying the warm, grounded palette from the wet room through to the sink. A new black-framed window and a sliding barn door entry complete the picture—a home with real history, finished in a way that feels entirely of the moment.
