The homeowners behind our North Haven primary bath are no strangers to designer and KRB owner, Kevin Roy.
They have been KRB clients for more than thirty years and asked for a primary bath that felt calm and restful, and that would still look beautiful in twenty years.
That room is now in the September/October 2026 kitchen and bath issue of New Hampshire Home Magazine, in an article called “Natural High.”
Walnut, Wallpaper, and a Niche Built for the Tub
The custom Woodharbor walnut vanity anchors the space. Rich, grainy, and visually substantial enough to hold its own against everything else in the room. While Cambria Everleigh countertops carry just enough subtle movement to stay interesting without competing with the walnut.
The freestanding tub sits beneath a custom walnut-framed wall niche, built in the same wood as the vanity so the two read as one decision instead of two. It comes off as architecture rather than an add-on, which is the whole point. Botanical wallpaper wraps the walls around it and brings in soft pattern and color, so the room feels more like a spa than a bathroom.
The steam shower holds up its end with layered tile in soft grey tones, textured bubble glass accents, and a delicate hex mosaic floor, all working together to keep depth in a room built on one color family.
