Black & White

These homeowners wanted to design a bathroom that matched their style and reflected their love of texture, pattern and color. A large glass enclosed shower with a bench replaced what was once a fiberglass tub and tiled surround.  The bold choice of patterned black and white tile on the main floor is complimented by the simple and sophisticated textured white subway tile found in the shower and on the accent wall. Using this tile on the wall and in the shower elongates the room and makes the space brighter. The shower is the standout design element, and matte black penny tiles on the shower floor are a retro touch that contrast the white and add dimension to this bathroom. Blue accents such as a smoky blue vanity paired with gold hardware and bold black vanity light adds luxury and drama to the space. Other black accents such as the faucet and shower fixtures are a contemporary element that compliments the overall design and make this modern farmhouse inspired space a fresh yet timeless bathroom.
