The Value of An Initial Consultation

Our design process at KRB Kitchen + Bath Design Center begins with a complimentary design consultation. This first meeting is your opportunity to meet with a member of our design/sales team in our showroom and discuss your kitchen or bathroom remodel. One of the reasons we find this meeting to be so valuable is because of the valuable insights you’ll receive about our unique process, project costs, and budgeting. During this meeting, you’ll also have an opportunity to browse around in our showroom and learn more about each of the product lines we incorporate into our designs. We have over 2,500 square feet of kitchen and bathroom displays and samples for you to browse through. Whether you’re drawn to our displayed selections or have something specific in mind, we can order any additional materials you select for your new space.

Understanding Your Vision

Your initial consultation is a no-pressure conversation where our designers will listen attentively to your unique vision. Share your design preferences, lifestyle needs, and any specific changes you’d like to see in your space. We’re committed to creating beautiful and functional designs that perfectly suit your lifestyle.

Exploring Design Possibilities

We recommend sharing any design ideas and inspiration you may have collected. Clients share this with us using Houzz, Pinterest, and sometimes even a notebook of ideas! It’s helpful to review this design inspiration and refer back to it in future design meetings to ensure we are achieving the look and feeling you want to have in your new space. Based on the size of your space and the scope of work we anticipate being involved in your project we will show you a selection of projects from our portfolio. While the materials included in the project may not necessarily match your style, reviewing our projects will help you see the kinds of changes we can potentially make in your space.

Budgeting and Planning

During your initial consultation, you’ll be able to speak with your designer about the budget range you have in mind and have a conversation about the anticipated costs of your project. We call this a Preliminary Opinion of Cost (POC) and this estimated range is something that is calculated based on the scope of work and materials similar to those you wish to use. It’s important to note that the budget range we provide clients with does not include any breakdowns and is designed to give you a better sense of what your project would cost should you choose to move forward and work with us.

Building Confidence and Trust

We understand the value of a client-designer relationship and how developing trust in your designer impacts every stage of a remodel. Education and ongoing conversations are one of the main reasons why we believe the initial consultation is such an important step in the design process. At the foundation of an enjoyable remodeling experience is trust, and at KRB we hope our clients can establish that with each member of our team.

Now that you have learned more about our process, it’s time to talk with us about your kitchen or bathroom remodel!
