We are excited to share with you that our ‘Poolside Modern’ outdoor kitchen located in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire is featured in the May Issue of Kitchen & Bath Design News in an article written by Kim Berndtson. This outdoor kitchen was part of a larger interior remodel project, and designing with the same modern aesthetic was something that brought a cohesive feeling throughout the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The homeowners frequently grill throughout the seasons so creating a space that allowed them to do so all year round and out of the elements was a priority of the design. The footprint of this kitchen was configured in what was formerly an entrance with sliders that led to the kitchen and living room of the home. This functional layout caters perfectly for both cooking and entertainment.

New England’s Hottest Trend: Outdoor Kitchens Take Over in 2024

In 2024 outdoor kitchens are rising in popularity because they can extend the living space of a home and are truly a secondary kitchen. Homeowners are looking for ways to maximize their outdoor spaces and create areas that seamlessly integrate with their homes, allowing them to cook, entertain, and enjoy all of the New England seasons. This poolside outdoor kitchen exemplifies this trend perfectly, offering a beautiful and functional space for year-round enjoyment.  “For our designers, the process of designing an outdoor kitchen includes many of the same steps as the design process of an indoor kitchen. We focus on aesthetics and client needs, with selections like cabinetry and countertops.” Most clients request a fully functional outdoor kitchen, which includes plenty of surface space for preparing food, a sink, and appliances such as a refrigerator and freezer.”

The rise in popularity of backyard renovations post-pandemic has people rethinking their outdoor spaces. An outdoor kitchen is a great way to extend your living area and enjoy the New England weather while you cook. They are fully customizable, which means they can be designed to fit any space while catering to your needs. The design is completely dependent on the available outdoor space you have, and how you plan to use the kitchen. While you start planning your outdoor kitchen it’s helpful to consider several design factors such as space availability, the seating layout, and the functionality of the space.
